ing trustee aforesaid, and his successors, respectively,
should be authorised and empowered to execute a lease
or leases from time to time for the said ground devised
in trust as aforesaid, in a lot or lots of ground binding
and fronting on the streets, lanes and alleys, and on any
of them referred to in said will, of such front and fronts,
depth and depths, dimension and dimensions, respective-
ly, as he or they may deem beneficial and most advan-
tageous for the cestui que trusts aforesaid — Now there-
fore,

CHAP. 296.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That George Warner, junior, surviving trustee for Mrs.
Dorothea Miltenberger, under the will of George War-
ner, deceased, aforesaid, and his successor and succes-
sors, be and he and they respectively is and are hereby
authorised and empowered to lease, and to execute, in
usual way, a lease and leases respectively for said pro-
perty devised in trust as aforesaid, for Mrs. Dorothea
Miltenberger, in such lot and lots, parcel and parcels of
ground respectively, from time to time, of such front and
fronts, depth and depths, dimension and dimensions, re-
spectively, fronting and binding on the streets, lanes and
alleys, and on any of them referred to in said will of
George Warner, deceased, as aforesaid, for ninety-nine
years, renewable forever, respectively, at, for, and sub-
ject to the payment of such respective annual ground
rent and rents as the said surviving trustee, his succes-
sor and successors respectively may deem fair and rea-
sonable for the same, and most advantageous for said
cestui que trusts, said rents to be reserved and made
payable as directed by the said will of George Warner,
deceased, as aforesaid.

CHAPTER 296.

Authority to
lease.

An act entitled, a further additional supplement to the
act entitled, an act concerning Crimes and Pun-
ishments.

Feb. 27, 1850.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That from and after the passage of
this act, if any person or persons shall entice, persuade,
assist or offer any inducement to any slave or servant,
knowing him or her to be such, to runaway from his or
